Snowman, post-washing up, woodcut
4.5 x 9" woodcut, hand-printed on 90g Japanese Hosho, using the traditional Japanese woodcut method of Mokuhanga, with water-based inks.
'Snowman, post-washing up' was inspired by the idea of a snowman in a kitchen, who wants to come in to the warm kitchen and make himself some food, makes himself a risotto, does the washing up and then melts after getting too hot. It was inspired by Ben's own kitchen, his love of cooking, and the story 'The Snowman', by Raymond Briggs.
